Randomize curation order

Randomized curation order shuffles how stories load into a Curation block, so that when the same block is filled from your Curations library more than once — a templated daily digest, for example — the stories arrive in a different random order instead of the same story always sitting on top.

Turn it on or off

Randomization is controlled per curation block: in the block’s settings in the composer, check Randomize Options. Uncheck it to go back to the default ordering.

This is an early access feature, so you may not see the Randomize Options checkbox yet — contact Letterhead support if you’d like it enabled for your account.

How it behaves

• With Randomize Options on, the block pulls matching stories from your library in a random order each time it loads content.
• Your other block settings still apply — tag and feed filters, the number of items, and the skip-items offset all work exactly as before; only the selection order is randomized.
• Stories already loaded into other curation blocks in the same email are excluded, so randomization won’t show the same story twice in one send.
• With randomization off, the block uses the default ordering.

When to use it

• Templated repeat sends — the same curated pool feeding several sends stays fresh without re-editing.
• Fair exposure — no single story monopolizes the top slot across sends.
