Automatically tag new RSS feed items

Edit in CMS

Automatic feed tagging keeps your Curations library organized without manual work. When you set up or edit an RSS feed, assign one or more default tags β€” every new item imported from that feed gets them automatically.

What you can do:

  • Pick tags per feed β€” choose existing tags or create new ones in the feed’s settings; each feed has its own default set.
  • Tags apply on import β€” all new items from the feed arrive pre-tagged.
  • Still editable β€” you can add, edit, or remove tags on individual items after import.

Changing a feed’s tags affects only future items β€” existing items keep their current tags.

  1. Open Curations and go to the RSS Feeds tab.
  2. Click Add Feed, or open an existing feed and choose Edit Feed.
  3. In the feed settings, search for an existing tag or type a new one and press Enter.
  4. Save the feed.

Tag formatting: tags can include letters, numbers, and hyphens β€” no spaces or special characters. marketing-trends works; marketing trends and marketing@2025 don’t.

If you import from multiple marketing blogs, tag your SEO feed seo-updates and your email-tips feed email-strategy. New articles arrive pre-labeled, so filtering your library while building a newsletter takes seconds. Feed tags work alongside the automatic IAB categorization Letterhead applies to all content.
