Map WordPress custom fields to Letterhead
Edit in CMSWhen you curate posts from your WordPress site, Letterhead can automatically populate your custom fields with data from WordPress. Any custom field youโve configured for a channel fills from the matching field on the WordPress post, and you can map additional WordPress metadata to drive how your newsletter displays content.
What you can map
Section titled โWhat you can mapโ- Custom fields
- Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
- Meta Box fields
- Pods fields
- Categories and tags
- Built-in WordPress metadata (title, publish date, and so on)
Any WordPress field can be mapped to any Letterhead custom field.
Set up field mapping
Section titled โSet up field mappingโFrom the Letterhead WordPress plugin settings:
- Open the field mapping section.
- Choose which WordPress fields map to which Letterhead custom fields.
- Save the mapping.
Multisite networks: field mapping is configured separately for each site in the network.
How it works
Section titled โHow it worksโOnce configured, the structured information you maintain in WordPress flows into Letterhead automatically whenever you curate a post โ no manual data entry, and your website and newsletter stay consistent. Mapped values can then display in the sent email. For everything else the Curations area can do, see Working in Curations.
