How can I add a subscriber to my account?
Edit in CMSThere are several ways to add subscribers, one at a time or in bulk. For everything else you can do with contacts, see Working in Audience.
Add a single subscriber manually
Section titled “Add a single subscriber manually”- Go to Audience in the left navigation.
- Click Add Contact.
- Enter the subscriber’s details — email address, name, status, tags — and click Submit.
Let readers sign up themselves
Section titled “Let readers sign up themselves”- Signup pages and embed forms — every signup page and subscribe form you host lives in one list with live previews, an embed snippet for your website, and an inline editor. See Manage all your signup pages and subscribe forms. Extra fields readers fill in save to their contact record.
- Archive page — when your archive is visible (the Newsletter Visibility toggle under Settings → Sending emails → Advanced (Early Access)), readers can browse past newsletters and subscribe right there.
Depending on your organization’s double opt-in Audience Policy, new signups may land in Pending Confirmation until they verify.
Add subscribers in bulk
Section titled “Add subscribers in bulk”- CSV import — the guided importer maps your columns to Letterhead fields and validates rows.
- Zapier — add, update, and tag contacts from any Zap, including company-level audience management.
- Letterhead API — add subscribers programmatically; see the API documentation.
