How do I create and schedule a newsletter from a template?

Edit in CMS

A template only appears in your template gallery on the Emails page once it has been built and activated — see Create, Edit, Delete and Activate/Deactivate a Template.

  1. Open Emails and click the activated template you want to use.
  2. Build your edition in the composer: drag blocks from the panel into place, then click any block to open its settings and edit its content.
  3. When you’re done, click Preview and schedule.

On the preview screen you can click Send a Test Email to send yourself (or anyone else) a test version before scheduling. The right panel replaces the composer blocks with the send details:

  • Email Subject — each new edition starts with a default subject you can update here.
  • Preview text — required; the snippet email clients show next to the subject line.
  • Audience — send to your whole subscribed audience or a specific segment.
  • Date and Time — when the newsletter goes out. Letterhead shows the current local time in your channel’s sending timezone while you pick, so you can match your audience’s clock.
  • Social preview — the image, title, and preview text shown when the edition is shared on social media. You can upload an image from local files or use a direct link.

When everything is set, click Save and schedule. A confirmation appears showing the date and time you selected, and the letter moves to scheduled status — see What Do Letterhead Statuses Mean?

For everything else you can do on the Emails page, see Working in Emails.
