Working in Settings
Edit in CMSSettings is where admins configure the account: team access, sending domains, deliverability, shared templates, brand kits, and signup rules. This guide covers everything you can do there.
Team & account
Section titled “Team & account”Invite team members and manage roles. Reset passwords from the login screen. The account menu in the top-right corner shows your own profile photo when you have one set; if you haven’t set a photo, your initials appear instead.
Do Letterhead support staff appear in my team list?
Section titled “Do Letterhead support staff appear in my team list?”No. When someone from Letterhead steps into your account to help you, they don’t appear in your team list — you see only your own colleagues. Any access Letterhead staff grant themselves is temporary by default and expires automatically after a set number of days (7 by default). See How Do I Add a Team Member to Letterhead?.
Sending domains & deliverability
Section titled “Sending domains & deliverability”Set up and verify a custom sending domain at the organization or channel level, and manage domains inside your company email connection. Recipient Validation verifies new addresses automatically. Set up BIMI to show your logo next to messages in supporting inboxes (Gmail, Apple Mail, Yahoo, and others).
Can I manage sending domains on a company-level Letterhead email connection?
Section titled “Can I manage sending domains on a company-level Letterhead email connection?”Yes. When you connect Letterhead’s own email delivery as a company-level sending connection, you can add and manage its sending domains directly in the setup: add a domain, see the DKIM/CNAME/DMARC records to publish, re-verify, and remove — and each connection gets its own isolated sending identity. This may need to be enabled for your account — contact support. See Manage sending domains for your company email connection.
Channel & brand
Section titled “Channel & brand”Manage channel information, email sending settings, and integration options from the channel Settings page. Add social profiles — including Bluesky, right alongside X, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and the rest — to your channel or brand kit, and they show up wherever your social links appear in your newsletters. See Managing Your Channel Settings.
You can also connect a Stripe account from your company integrations settings to bring purchase data into Letterhead — once connected, Stripe purchase events appear in each contact’s activity feed, showing purchase date, amount, and source, so you can see who has bought alongside their email engagement history. See Stripe.
Company-level
Section titled “Company-level”Create and share Company-Level Templates across all channels. Manage company-wide promotions. When you preview a template in one of your brand kits, you pick the kit by typing to filter a searchable list — so the right kit stays quick to find however many kits your company keeps.
The Brand Kits section lets you browse, search, filter, create, duplicate, and delete brand kits in one place — managing design assets centrally instead of hunting through individual channel settings. The brand kit editor carries a full Styles panel with a live email preview, plus Brand Voice and Social Profiles tabs for capturing tone-of-voice guidance and social accounts. When a newsletter’s brand kit has a generated voice assigned, the composer’s AI Text panel shows which brand voice is applied before you generate. See Managing Brand Kits from a Central Company-Level Screen.
Your company’s first brand kit is its default — the one everything else falls back to. It’s called Default, and that name is fixed: the name field is greyed out in the editor so the fallback kit stays easy to spot in a long list. It also can’t be deleted, for the same reason. Every other kit you create is yours to name and remove as you like.
If you gave your default kit a name of your own before it became the fixed one, it keeps the name you chose — we won’t rename it on you. The one exception is a default kit that was never really named: older accounts have one labelled with a long string of letters and numbers, which was only ever a stand-in. Those tidy themselves up to Default the next time you save any change to the kit.
What can I manage if my company shares Letterhead with other companies?
Section titled “What can I manage if my company shares Letterhead with other companies?”Companies sharing a Letterhead account get full company settings, all in one place: invite teammates and set their roles, connect and configure integrations, set up how your newsletters send — choosing an email provider and adding a verified sending domain — and find the connection details for the AI assistant. Everything you set stays scoped to your company alone. This may need to be enabled for your account — contact support. See Manage company settings in a shared Letterhead account.
Signup rules
Section titled “Signup rules”Enable or disable double opt-in per channel, under that channel’s Settings → Sending emails — there’s no organization-wide default. See How do you opt-out of double opt-ins?.
What this page doesn’t do
Section titled “What this page doesn’t do”Composing lives in Emails; contact management lives in Audience; connecting external tools lives in Integrations.
Who sees what
Section titled “Who sees what”Settings is largely org/channel admin territory. If an option isn’t visible, ask your admin — or the assistant, if you have early access.
