What Is An Archive Page?

The Archive page is a public-facing page that displays all previously published newsletters for a channel. Readers can browse past editions and subscribe to future sends in one place.

What readers see

• Subscribe at the top — new visitors can enter their email address to subscribe to the channel’s newsletter. The subscribe box size is dynamic and can vary with the length of your channel description.
• Past newsletters below — published editions listed in reverse chronological order, each showing its subject line and send date.

Customize the archive banner

Add your logo to the top of the Archive page:

1. Go to Settings → Sending Emails → Archive Banner.
2. Upload your logo.

The banner has a maximum height of 160px, with width scaling automatically; a 3:1 aspect ratio is recommended for the best display.

Channel Settings changes are typically admin-only — if you don’t see the option, ask your admin. For everything else about your editions, see Working in Emails.

Your dedicated address’s front page

If Letterhead hosts your newsletters at your own dedicated address, that address’s front page is also a place to send readers. It lists every one of your newsletters, grouped by brand, so someone can look over what you publish and sign up for the ones they want — right from that page, without visiting each newsletter’s own Archive page first. A Read the latest link on each newsletter still takes them to that newsletter’s own Archive page if they’d rather browse before subscribing.

This is separate from an individual newsletter’s Archive page above — think of the front page as a directory of everything you publish, and each newsletter’s Archive page as that one newsletter’s own history.

Two cases don’t show this directory and instead send a visitor on to Letterhead’s own marketing site:

• Your address is a shared Letterhead address rather than your own dedicated one.
• None of your channels currently have their archive enabled.
