Can I Delete Segments or Tags?

Yes — you can edit or delete most segments and tags if your permission level allows it. Content Contributors can’t edit or delete segments or tags; if an option isn’t visible, ask your admin.

Segments

Section titled “Segments”
  1. Go to the Segments tab.
  2. Click the segment you want to change.
  3. Use the pencil icon to edit or the trash icon to delete it.

Default segments are locked. Every account includes pre-built Smart Engagement-Based Segments — Active openers, Active clickers, and Inactive subscribers over 30, 60, and 90 days. They appear with a lock icon and can’t be edited or deleted.

Tags

Section titled “Tags”
  1. Go to the Tags tab.
  2. Click the tag you want to change.
  3. Use the pencil icon to edit or the trash icon to delete it.
