How to change or add an image in a newsletter?

Edit in CMS
  1. Open your draft from the Emails page and click the existing image (or drag in an Image block).
  2. The Image Block settings open on the right.
  3. Click the image name to replace it, or Remove to clear it.
  4. Choose your new image from Local files, a Direct Link, or Choose from gallery to reuse an image your team has already uploaded (see Reuse images from your company image gallery), make any adjustments, and click Add.

After uploading, customize how the image appears with the block settings below.

Drag an image straight onto your newsletter

Section titled “Drag an image straight onto your newsletter”

You don’t have to add an image block first. Drag an image straight onto the spot where you want it and let go — it uploads and lands there as a finished image block. The image can come from your computer, or straight from another website or browser tab.

  • Drop it onto an empty image block and it fills that block.
  • Drop it into open space and a new block appears at the nearest spot. A marker shows where it will land, and the upload’s progress appears right on the block.

This works the same whether you’re building a channel’s newsletter or a reusable company template.

  • Link to — make the image clickable by adding a URL; subscribers who click it go to that link. The link can also draw from a connected data feed, so each recipient sees a personalized destination.
  • Alt Text — describe the image for accessibility. It appears if the image fails to load and helps readers using screen readers.
  • AlignmentLeft, Center, Right, or Full width (expands the image to the email container’s full width).
  • Border Radius — round the corners with a pixel value; check Apply to All Sides for uniform corners.
  • Image CropOriginal, Circle, Square, 4:3, or 3:4.
  • Border — set the border color (color picker or hex code), size in pixels (with Apply to All Sides), and style: Solid, Dashed, or Dotted.
  • Background Color — the color behind your image; useful for making it stand out or matching your theme.
  • Extend Background Color — toggle on to stretch the background across the full width of the section for a seamless effect.
  • Padding — space between the image and its container, set per side (Top, Right, Bottom, Left) or uniformly with Apply to All Sides.

Working with an image that sits beside other content, two blocks across? Click the image itself and its settings open just as they do anywhere else — see How do I use the new design settings? for how those side-by-side sections behave.
