How to View or Edit an Audience Member
Edit in CMSManage your subscribers from the channel’s Audience page. For everything the page can do, see Working in Audience.
Finding contacts
Section titled “Finding contacts”Use the Search by keyword field to locate a subscriber by name or email, and narrow results with filters before searching:
- Status — subscribed, unsubscribed, pending, and so on.
- Tags and Segments.
- Date added — focus on recent signups or review a specific cohort, for example to audit growth from a campaign or check a recent import.
- No tags — show only contacts with no tags applied, so you can find untagged contacts and organize them.
Viewing or editing a subscriber
Section titled “Viewing or editing a subscriber”- Locate the subscriber, open the row’s menu, and choose Edit profile.
- Update their audience status, tags, or any other profile fields.
- Click Save.
You can also open the full profile to see their activity log and engagement.
Audience statuses
Section titled “Audience statuses”| Status | What it means | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| Any status | All contacts regardless of subscription status. | Search or filter across the entire audience. |
| Cleaned | The email has bounced or failed delivery too many times. | Can’t be emailed; consider updating their address. |
| Disengaged | Hasn’t interacted (opened or clicked) in a while. | Avoid over-sending; use for re-engagement or pruning. |
| Not Subscribed | In your database but never opted into marketing messages. | Can’t send campaigns unless they explicitly subscribe. |
| Pending Re-engagement | Marked inactive and part of a re-engagement effort. | Good target for win-back campaigns. |
| Pending Confirmation | Signed up but hasn’t confirmed (double opt-in). | See managing pending confirmations. |
| Subscribed | Actively opted in. | Safe to send newsletters to. |
| Unsubscribed | Opted out of future communications. | Don’t email unless they resubscribe. |
Why can’t I re-subscribe a “Cleaned” email? “Cleaned” means the address repeatedly bounced and is suppressed to protect your sender reputation. See Understanding bounces, or contact support for help.
Can I bulk edit audience members? You can bulk tag audience members directly from the Audience list. Other bulk edits (like changing status in bulk) are done through CSV imports.
Still can’t find what you need? Contact support.
