Manage an automation series
Edit in CMSOnce an automation series is running, you manage its whole lifecycle from the Automations page: pause it, edit its messages, restart it for new subscribers, or retire it entirely. For everything the Automations area can do, see Working in Automations.
Pause or deactivate a series
Section titled “Pause or deactivate a series”Open the series from Automations and deactivate it. Subscribers currently in the series stop receiving further messages, but their progress is preserved so you can pick up where you left off.
Reactivate a series
Section titled “Reactivate a series”Reactivate a paused series to resume sending. Depending on the series, you can restart existing subscribers or apply the automation only to new subscribers who match the trigger going forward.
Edit message content
Section titled “Edit message content”Open any message step in the series to update its subject, body, or content, then save. You can also send yourself a test email before changes go out to real subscribers.
Monitor performance
Section titled “Monitor performance”A running automation shows live metrics right on the workflow canvas — journey and enrollment totals, subscriber counts at each delay step and branch, who’s currently at any step, and per-step email performance (sends, deliveries, bounces, and top-clicked links). See Monitor a running automation for the full breakdown.
You can also review a running automation’s complete configuration — the newsletters and links it watches and each branch’s criteria — without opening it for editing.
Troubleshoot errors
Section titled “Troubleshoot errors”If messages aren’t going out, the Automations Errors Table filters your automations by Error status and shows what failed and why, so you can fix issues like invalid addresses or template problems.
Delete a series
Section titled “Delete a series”Deleting a series is permanent: its history and performance data are removed and can’t be recovered. Consider deactivating instead if you may want the data later.
