Managing Company-Wide Promotions
Edit in CMSCompany Promotions lets company admins create, schedule, and track sponsored content across all newsletters from one central place. Assigning promotions to specific channels, zones, and send dates eliminates manual coordination for multi-newsletter sponsorship campaigns. For the full promotions feature area, see Working in Promotions.
Who can do what
Section titled “Who can do what”- Company Admins control company-wide promotions: assign a promotion to one or more newsletters, choose the zone where it appears in the layout, schedule its run dates, and view delivery and performance metrics across campaigns. If you don’t see the Promotions tab, ask your admin for the Company Admin role.
- Organization and channel admins can add Promotion blocks to any newsletter or template and select the correct zone.
Set up a new promotion
Section titled “Set up a new promotion”- Go to Company → Promotions and choose Create Campaign.
- Enter the campaign details:
- Title and Promoter name
- Channels — which newsletters run the promotion
- Zone — where in the newsletter layout it appears
- Schedule — start and end dates, or total days
- Promotion Type — Text Only (headline + body), Text & Image (headline, text, image, link, alt text), or Banner (large image banner, headline, text, link, alt text)
- Choose Save as Draft to finish later, or Activate to make it available. Active campaigns appear in the promotions table.
You can also paste HTML directly into a promotion — including Google Ad Manager ad tags — and it renders correctly in the sent newsletter.
Add a promotion to a newsletter
Section titled “Add a promotion to a newsletter”- Open the newsletter you’re editing in the composer.
- Drag the Promotion block into your layout and pick a zone. Only promotions matching that zone, channel, and send date appear.
- Preview and schedule as usual. If no promotion fits, the block collapses so no empty space is sent.
Prefer hands-off placement? Mark a company promotion to auto-inject into every send — choose where it lands or let it take the default spot, and it appears in the preview and delivered email without manual placement. Auto-injected promotions are locked in place to prevent accidental changes.
Edit an existing promotion
Section titled “Edit an existing promotion”From Company → Promotions, search or filter to find a campaign, click its name to see details and performance (impressions, clicks, linked newsletter metrics), and choose Edit Campaign. Changes apply to upcoming sends only — past newsletters stay as sent.
View your promotion calendar
Section titled “View your promotion calendar”Open Company → Promotions → Promotion Schedule, select a channel, and see all scheduled promotions laid out by zone. Click any promotion to open or edit it.
Common situations
Section titled “Common situations”- Promotion missing in preview — confirm it’s Active and that zone, channel, and send date all match.
- Warning about missing promotions — you can still send, but double-check your commitments first.
- Creative not rendering as expected — verify the promotion type and zone.
- Reusing a campaign — update its schedule, or duplicate and activate it again.
- Edits not retroactive — past sends are locked; only future sends reflect changes.
Export your data
Section titled “Export your data”From any campaign’s detail view, use Export Metrics (CSV) for a breakdown of channel, date, impressions, and clicks. Follow the links to each newsletter’s metrics page for deeper insight.
