Types of pages

Main signup page Your primary subscribe page. It lists all the newsletters you publish and lets a reader choose which ones to sign up for in one go. This is the link to share when you want to give someone access to your full catalog.

Group signup pages If you’ve organized your newsletters into groups, each group gets its own signup page. It shows only the newsletters in that group — useful for directing readers with a specific interest area to a focused subscribe experience rather than your full list.

Individual newsletter signup pages Every newsletter has its own dedicated signup page. Readers who land here subscribe to that one newsletter only. Use these links in cross-promotions, press mentions, or anywhere you want to drive signups for a specific title.

Subscribe forms An embed snippet you paste into your own website. Functionally the same as a signup page, but it renders inside your site rather than on a Letterhead-hosted URL. Each form has its own snippet — you can embed your main form, a group form, or a per-newsletter form depending on where it’s going.

Editing a signup page or form

Click any signup page or form to open the inline editor. From there you can:

• Reorder sections to change the layout
• Choose which newsletters each section subscribes people to
• Select a typeface from the font catalogue
• Set background and text colors for each section

Changes apply to that specific signup page or form.

If Letterhead hosts your newsletters on a shared address

Some publishers read their newsletters at an address of their own; others are hosted on an address Letterhead shares between publishers. Either way, all of your signup surfaces — your main signup page, your group pages, each newsletter’s own page, and your embedded subscribe form — render and can be edited exactly the same way.

Two things are worth knowing if you’re on a shared address:

• Everything is scoped to your own workspace. The page you open in the editor, and the page a reader lands on, are always yours. Publishers who share an address with you never see or affect your pages, and you never see theirs.
• Your main signup page has your workspace’s own web address, rather than sitting at the bare shared address. Your group pages and newsletter pages keep the addresses they already had. The links shown beside each entry in the list are always the right ones to share, so you can copy from there rather than assembling an address by hand.

• Answers readers provide in extra fields on your signup form can save directly to their contact record, ready for filtering and segmentation — see that article for availability.
• Each reader’s sign-up source is captured automatically, so you can segment and analyze by where readers came from.
• Depending on your organization’s double opt-in Audience Policy, new signups may land in Pending Confirmation until they verify.
