Paste Markdown and turn it into editable newsletter blocks
Edit in CMSYou can now paste an entire Markdown document into a newsletter or company template and have it convert to native, editable blocks—no need to rebuild the content by hand.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”- Add a Markdown block to your channel newsletter or company template.
- Paste (or type) your Markdown content into the block’s text box.
- Choose whether to merge consecutive paragraphs into one block, or keep one block per paragraph — turn this off when you want to interleave another block, like an image, between two paragraphs.
- Select Load Markdown.
Letterhead converts the Markdown into standard content blocks:
- Headings become heading blocks
- Paragraphs become text blocks
- Images become image blocks
- Ordered and bulleted lists become list blocks
- Links and bold and italic formatting are preserved
- A URL on its own line becomes a link block
Once converted, every block is fully editable—you can continue working with the content as you would any other newsletter content.
When to use this
Section titled “When to use this”This capability is useful when you’re bringing in content from:
- Markdown files from external editors or tools
- Documentation or blog posts written in Markdown
- Any source where you already have structured content in Markdown format
