Paste Markdown and turn it into editable newsletter blocks

You can now paste an entire Markdown document into a newsletter or company template and have it convert to native, editable blocks—no need to rebuild the content by hand.

How it works

1. Add a Markdown block to your channel newsletter or company template.
2. Paste (or type) your Markdown content into the block’s text box.
3. Decide how the paragraphs should land, using the Merge paragraphs toggle under the text box. It’s on to begin with, which means paragraphs sitting next to each other share one block — headings, images and dividers still get their own either way. Turn it off and each paragraph gets a block of its own, so you can drop an image, a poll, or anything else in between them afterwards.
4. Select Load Markdown.

Letterhead converts the Markdown into standard content blocks:

• Headings become heading blocks
• Paragraphs become text blocks
• Images become image blocks
• Ordered and bulleted lists become list blocks
• Links and bold and italic formatting are preserved
• A link on its own line becomes a link block

Once converted, every block is fully editable—you can continue working with the content as you would any other newsletter content.

When to use this

This capability is useful when you’re bringing in content from:

• Markdown files from external editors or tools
• Documentation or blog posts written in Markdown
• Any source where you already have structured content in Markdown format
