What's new — week of Oct 5, 2026
Edit in CMSThis week we shipped tools for managing contacts at scale, better ways to compare segments and understand your readers, stronger deliverability and accessibility checks, and more design control for your newsletters.
Audience
Section titled “Audience”- Perform bulk actions on the Contacts table: filter your audience, select rows or “Select all matching”, then delete, set a newsletter subscription status, remove a tag, or update a custom field — all with a count and confirmation before anything changes.
- Build a segment from one criteria picker, with exclusions alongside your rules: every rule (tags, fields, location, or another segment) now comes from a single “Add criteria” menu, and you can leave people out by adding a “Segment is not” rule next to the rest.
- Build an audience segment around a rolling date window on any date field: use “in the last” or “not in the last” a number of days, so a segment like “renewal date in the last 30 days” stays current on its own.
- Readers can unsubscribe from everything you send in one step: a new “Unsubscribe from everything” option on the email preferences page lets someone leave every newsletter you send them through Letterhead at once.
Newsletters
Section titled “Newsletters”- Letterhead now checks your newsletter’s accessibility as part of preflight: the Content Check panel flags images with no alt text, buttons that are only an image, headings that skip a level, low-contrast text, and links that don’t say where they go.
- Resend an edition to the readers who didn’t open it, with a new subject line: pick a sent edition, write a fresh subject line, and schedule a resend that goes only to people who haven’t opened the original yet.
- Start a drag-and-drop template from a newsletter you already send: upload a saved email file and Letterhead builds an editable template from it, reading it in your browser if you sent it with Letterhead or laying it out with AI if it came from another platform.
- Start a brand kit’s styles from a newsletter you already send: upload a saved email file and the kit fills in page backgrounds, fonts, headings, buttons, and spacing from it for you to review before saving.
- Drop one of your Braze Content Blocks into a newsletter: if you send through Braze, add a Content Block (like a legal disclaimer or sponsor slot) by name and see what it looks like right in the composer.
- Preview a newsletter as a reader in a chosen audience segment before you schedule it: a “Preview as” picker on the preview step shows the edition the way a reader in that segment would receive it, with any blocks they wouldn’t get marked with a placeholder.
- See how many people are on the Iterable list you’re about to send to: when a newsletter sends through Iterable, the schedule screen shows the list size and refreshes it about once an hour.
Curations
Section titled “Curations”- If it’s turned on for your account, run one story you picked from your library in full, and get exactly that story in the email: choose Full content as the layout for a hand-picked story and your readers see the complete article, not just its headline and excerpt.
- Better curation block filtering: the settings panel now shows only the filters your block actually uses, rather than listing every option whether you use it or not.
Analytics
Section titled “Analytics”- Compare several audience segments side by side, over time and newsletter by newsletter: pick multiple saved segments and see their opens, clicks, click-to-open, or bounces on one chart, or compare reader groups (Loyalists, New & Engaged, Casual, Fading, Ghosts) newsletter by newsletter on the Dashboard’s Audience tab.
- See whether each transactional email was sent, refused, delivered, or bounced: look up a send by its ID and see its status and reason, and the Transactionals page shows how many sends per tag were refused.
Integrations
Section titled “Integrations”- Connect Google Postmaster and see how Gmail rates your sending, inside Letterhead: link Google Postmaster Tools from your integration settings and see Gmail’s spam-complaint rate, domain reputation, authentication pass rates, delivery errors, and a day-over-day spam-rate trend, with a plain-language next step for anything at risk.
- Find an email connection by name or by the newsletters it sends: a search box on your company’s sending settings finds connections by name, provider, or the newsletters they send, and you can narrow by provider or active/disabled status.
- Hear about a scheduled newsletter that couldn’t be sent in your notifications, and choose how: when a scheduled send fails (missing audience, unsubscribe link, or Iterable list), the alert arrives in your notification center as well as by email, with a new “Newsletter Not Sent” setting to control where it reaches you.
- Service incidents and maintenance appear as notices inside Letterhead: when there’s an incident or scheduled maintenance, a notice appears inside the app, coloured by severity, with a link to the full status page.
Penpal
Section titled “Penpal”- Penpal can now tag, segment, update, subscribe, or delete contacts in bulk: ask Penpal to tag a cohort (like 100 Gmail contacts for warm-up day 1), build a segment from a tag, set up a warm-up schedule, remove a tag, set or clear a field, or change subscription status — each action shows a count first and requires confirmation, up to 5,000 contacts at a time.
- Penpal can now see your notifications and summarize them: ask what you missed and Penpal sums up your recent alerts, read and unread, right in the chat.
Platform
Section titled “Platform”- Type the Konami code anywhere in Letterhead for a burst of confetti: on any page, type up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A for a few seconds of confetti (keys typed into fields or the composer are ignored, and it stays off for anyone who asks for reduced motion).
