What's new — week of Sep 28, 2026
Edit in CMSThis week we’ve improved how you manage sensitive data, organize your templates, and connect with the platforms you already use.
Audience
Section titled “Audience”- Credit card numbers and other sensitive details are automatically removed from your contacts’ custom fields, whether they arrive through signup forms, the API, Zapier, manual entry, spreadsheet imports, or connected tools, with a clear note explaining what was removed and when.
- Each of a newsletter’s built-in engagement segments now shows how many readers it holds, so you can size a group before sending to it.
- Every segment card, including built-in segments like Loyalists and Ghosts, now displays its ID in a copyable chip for use in your integrations, and integrations can also request the full list of built-in segments and IDs directly from Letterhead.
Newsletters
Section titled “Newsletters”- Your company now maintains one list of verified senders, where you can set each sender’s From address, display name, and reply address, then choose which sender each newsletter uses by default and override it for individual editions.
- Saved filter views let you name and store any combination of filters on your templates list, then return to that view in one click instead of recreating the filters each visit.
- Newsletter templates can now be filtered by tags, matching what’s already available on your company templates list.
- Company administrators can now edit their own newsletters’ details, such as name and web address, directly from the Groups page (called Channels in the new navigation). Learn more.
- Message Type IDs for Iterable newsletters are re-checked each time you open your settings, with warnings shown for IDs that no longer exist in your connected Iterable project, and settings now save even when Iterable is temporarily unreachable.
- Images added to your company gallery are automatically named after their source—curated stories or the site in their web address—so you can search and identify them more easily.
- Merge tags with fallbacks now display the fallback text directly on the chip in the composer, so “firstName or Reader” appears instead of just “firstName”.
Curations
Section titled “Curations”- Connect your Shopify store and turn on “Sync Products” to feature the things you sell as ready-to-use content blocks in your newsletters, complete with name, description, photo, price, and a buy button that links directly to the product or variant in your store, with daily automatic updates to match changes in your catalog.
Integrations
Section titled “Integrations”- Newsletters that send through Braze can now be sent to specific segments from your Braze workspace instead of the entire audience your Braze campaign was configured with.
