How to customize your newsletter using Heading and Paragraph blocks.

Learn how to style and adjust Heading and Paragraph blocks to create a polished newsletter.

Extend Background Color:

You can now extend a block’s background color to span the full width of the newsletter using the new Extend Background Color toggle.

This feature is available for any block that supports background colors (e.g., Paragraph, Heading, Button, etc.). When turned on, the block’s background extends edge-to-edge across your email, allowing you to highlight specific sections like announcements, quotes, or feature stories.

To use it:

  1. Select the block you want to edit.

  2. In the right-hand settings panel, open the Color section.

  3. Choose your Background Color.

  4. Turn on the Extend Background Color toggle.

  5. The editor and preview will update automatically to show the full-width background.

Getting Started

  • Open Your Newsletter Template
    • Click Newsletter in the left side menu.
    • Choose a Blank template or an existing draft.
  • Add Heading or Paragraph Blocks
    • Drag and drop the desired blocks into your newsletter.

Customizing Heading Blocks

Heading blocks come with several options for personalization:

  • Heading Type

    • Choose different styles (e.g., H1, H2, H3) to structure your newsletter.
  • Border and Background

    • Add a border to emphasize your Heading block.
    • Change the background color to enhance visibility.
    • (Optional) Turn on Extend Background Color to make the background span the full width.
  • Font Options

    • Adjust the font size and style to fit your design.
    • Customize the font color directly in the settings.
  • Padding

    • Use padding to create space between the content and the block's border.

Additionally, when you highlight text within the Heading block, a tooltip appears for quick edits, including:

  • Bold and Italic text styles
  • Insert Link
  • Add Bullets or Numbered Lists

Easier Text Alignment:

We've made it easier to align Heading and Paragraph blocks. Instead of highlighting the text, simply use the Font section on the right-hand side of the screen and select your desired alignment from the dropdown menu.

Customizing Paragraph Blocks

Paragraph blocks offer similar customization features:

  • Border and Background

    • Add a border or change the background color for better contrast.
  • Font Options

    • Modify the font size and style.
  • Padding

    • Adjust padding to control spacing around your content.

Like Heading blocks, you can use the tooltip when you highlight text to make quick changes such as:

    • Bold and Italic text styles
    • Insert Link
    • Add Bullets or Numbered Lists

    Tip
The tooltip is available in all text blocks, allowing you to make instant changes without navigating to the settings menu.
