What Permissions Does the Content Contributor Have?

Understanding the Permissions and Features Available to Content Contributors

Content Contributors have limited access within specific channels they’re assigned to. Their main responsibility is to help create and manage newsletters and related content, without access to audience data, channel settings, or organization-wide features.

They’ll see only the channels assigned to them in the dropdown under the Letterhead logo

What Can They Access?

Within each assigned channel, Content Contributors can view:

  • Dashboard

  • Newsletters

  • Archive

Dashboard Access

Shows key metrics from the last 30 days for the channel, including delivery and promotion performance. This gives Contributors visibility into how their content is performing without giving access to deeper analytics.

Newsletters Access

Content Contributors can manage and build newsletter content using the following sections:

  • Newsletters: Create from scratch, use a template, or copy past newsletters

  • Automations: Set up or edit automations for scheduling and engagement

  • Curations: Add and edit curated content blocks

  • Templates: Create and edit reusable templates for future newsletters

Archive Access

The Archive lets Contributors see published newsletters and how they appear publicly. The page also includes a subscribe option for visitors.

🛑 What Content Contributors Can’t Do:

  • Access Audience data or segments/tags

  • Change channel or email settings

  • View or manage team permissions

  • See organization-level dashboards or settings
