To enhance the security of your Letterhead account, we now require Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
Follow these quick steps to set it up using Google Authenticator (or any other OTP app).
Note: Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a required security measure implemented by Letterhead to maintain GDPR compliance and meet industry-standard security and regulatory requirements. This helps protect user data and account access across all organizations and channels.
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to exclude any organization or channel from this requirement.
Step 1: Log In to Letterhead
-
Go to the Letterhead login page.
-
Enter your email address and click continue
-
Enter your password and click Continue.
Step 2: Connect Your Authenticator App
-
You’ll see a QR code on the screen and a setup key (OTP) underneath.
-
Open your Authenticator app on your phone. (app used in example is Microsoft Authenticator)
-
Tap the “Scan a QR code” button
-
If you can’t scan, select “Enter setup key manually.”
-
-
Scan the QR code shown in Letterhead.
-
You’ll see a new entry, usually automatically named “Letterhead”, added to your Authenticator app, showing a 6-digit code that refreshes every 30 seconds.
Step 3: Verify Your Code
-
Back in Letterhead, enter the 6-digit code from your Authenticator app into the OTP field.
-
Click Continue.
Step 4: Save Your Recovery Code
-
A recovery code will appear, this is a backup key that lets you access your account if you lose your device.
-
Save this code somewhere safe, such as:
-
A password manager
-
A secure notes app
-
A physical notebook kept in a safe place
-
-
Click Continue once you’ve saved it.
✅ Step 5: You’re All Set!
You’re now logged in, and your account is protected with MFA.
Each time you sign in, you’ll be asked to enter the latest 6-digit code from your Authenticator app to confirm it’s really you.
